LPG gas price in Bangladesh 2021-22

 The Bangladesh Energy Regulatory Commission (BERC) has re-fixed the cost of Liquefied Petroleum Gas (LPG) of privately owned businesses at retail level with impact from June 1. 

According to the new costs, the privately owned businesses should sell 12 kg LPG at Tk842 rather than the current cost of Tk906. The administrative body re-fixed the cost changing with Saudi Contract Price (CP). 

The cost of LP Gas Company, the state-possessed organization, will stay same at Tk591 for 12.5 kg LPG as it has no connection with Saudi CP. 

In re-fixing the value, the worth of per kg of LPG was viewed as Tk70.17 including VAT and such cost will be appropriate for changing the cost of other gauged compartments. 

The other amount's LPG will sell at brought value down to be fixed judiciously. 

The auto gas cost was additionally re-fixed at Tk41.47 per liter against the current cost of Tk44.70 under the value change method. 

"This cost will be appropriate for the period of June until additional change in the Saudi CP," said BERC Chairman Md Abdul Jalil while declaring the new cost through a virtual instructions on Monday. 

"The privately owned businesses' LPG cost was re-fixed based on Saudi CP," he told journalists.

The majority of Bangladeshi privately owned businesses import their mass LPG from the Middle-East based on Saudi CP and market it in the country.

"We have sent letters to the Commerce Ministry and the Energy Division looking for their collaboration to uphold and screen the new value," he said adding this is an obligation of other authoritative workplaces alongside the BERC.
